Thats why I didnt fill my holes when I did my color change. The heat from welding and grinding would reek havoc on that thin metal. Unless your the man with a welder and can defy the laws of heat transfer. I believe the moldings will save the door from a light hit and to me its not worth the risk.

The first pic i believe is just the dg sanded down. On the rear door you can see a spot of primer. Alot of people have the misconception that everything has to be primered befor painting..
