^Yeah it is a bit scratched. I actually wasn't planning on "displaying" it in my trunk, but I think I may have changed my mind now. I'll either put a decal over it or get another one and sell this one. I already found a guy selling the mono amp I need for my sub and he has a 300/4 too for way cheaper than I paid for this one, so I may just buy both off him and resale this one.

This will be installed in the near future hopefully, when I find time. The new baby put my projects in work on hold for a bit.

Still gotta pick up a backup cam, PAC unit and maybe the bluetooth module.

^Thanks Monard. I'll be running front speakers only. From what I've read I don't really need the rears.

Do you think the JL Clean sweep is worth it? I noticed you aren't running it. Are you pleased with your setup?

It's not worth it if you got an aftermarket head unit. If you want processing I'd look into another route. I love Alpine H701 but you'd need the controller and you're looking at roughly 600 or so for the combo (unless if you had an Alpine deck, then half the cost). There's the RF 3Sixty.1 and .2 but it's a give or take on that one. My friend had issues with the bluetooth portion but I have another friend that had no issues. There's a few other processors out there as well. If you don't want to fine to your audio to the T where it's reproducing the sound as if it came out the recording studio, then no need really.

If you can get the recommended specs for them, go for it, but check out www.madisound.com, they have quite a few drivers there and cheaper as well. The Peerless SLS is a good option at like 50 bucks a pop (speakers are listed as individual, not pairs). I'm planning on going with either those 8's in my doors or their 10's down the line with a 3" midrange in the kickpod and tweeters on the a pillar.

There's another website that sells good speakers as well I just can't remember it, but it's from the company that makes Focal speakers and sells them at a fraction of the cost.

You can also check out www.partsexpress.com for other speakers. Those O2 ones don't seem to be that great. If they were made by OZ audio, different story.

*Edit: Found the site I was talking about: http://www.zalytron.com/

JM Lab makes Focal, but I thought it was one of the companies that started with an A that made similar speakers, maybe I'm remembering wrong since it was 3-4 years ago.

Also if you want some speaker reviews, head on over to www.diymobileaudio.com and check out that forum.
Thanks for all the info. The speakers will be on an enclosure regardless. I'm looking for competition speakers like EV's

Gonna make tha block bump.

Bought my second amp, a JL 500/1. Decided to keep the 300/4 I already have rather than replace it for one that doesn't have scratches on the JL logo. I'll just replace the sticker that is scratched.

Question, if you buy it privately but if it was previously bought from a dealer, they'll warranty it?

^Likely if you could provide proof of purchase and you were within the warranty period.
