painting OEM calipers black when you have after market wheels makes perfect sense to me... they look awkward and negate nice wheels (black changes that)... but painting them a flashy color to draw attention to them is a step in the wrong direction imo.

When I first got CE28Ns the calipers were an eye sore - I painted them black and it really allowed the eye to overlook them... I dont think showing off the OEM brakes makes sense unless they are Brembo or Akebono (not the Altima ones).

Just my .02 (since you asked).

it makes sense, and i appreciate your input...i was actually liking the way they looked when i laid the black primer down...i had just thought of trying something different, but as i finished i was questioning myself if i really liked it or not

Just got done installing the following:

SPL Compression Rod Bushings
SPL V3 A-Arms
2x Nissan Hub Assemblies

All I can say is WOW! I didn't remember what driving my car with functional compression rod bushings felt like, The steering is tighter and the front end overall feels so much better!

Old busted bushing:

New SPL Solid bushing:

Installed:

New hub with Ichiba extended studs installed (running 10mm spacers)

I'll be installing the following in 2 weekends:

Tein Inner Tie Rods
Whiteline Front LCA bushings
Whiteline Front LCA shock bushings

Be prepared for a STIFF front end and steering feel. I've heard they make noise after a while but we'll see. I don't mind the stiffness or noise as i'm just excited for my car to drive properly again. And of course there will be more noise and vibration with solid bushings.

If you want to retain a little bit of comfort i'd go with the Whiteline or Energy bushings.

Same reason I got the SPL's. CR bushings aren't hard to replace, but i'd rather just do it once and be done.

Weird thing is, the right side bushing was blown but I replaced the entire arm about 20k miles ago and the left side with 86k miles on it was still good! Haha

I just did the Energy Suspension bushing kit.
All lower/upper control arm bushings front including the compression rod bushing and all the rear lower/upper control arm bushings

Car def. feels much more controlled ride /handling wise.
