My guess is they are used to either swap out fluid (open bleeders and let the fluid drip out) or the calipers are used on other cars (besides Nissan). You can flip the caliper to the right side of the rotor for other cars.

I think you are onto something with the calipers. I don't think you would ever bleed from the bottom. Kinda defeats the purpose as all the fluid would rush out and create air pockets in the top.

Thanks!! I downloaded the front manual from their website Sunday morning before we started the install. I missed the part about bleeding. Good news is that Summit Racing hooked me up with a pack of 4 bleeders overnighted and the brakes are up and running.

pretty sure WW has bleeders on both ends to cut costs in making side specific calipers

Probably. My fronts don't and actually have a little arrow on them to make sure you mount them correctly. So do the rotors.

yeah, i know. once they put together the kit, they etch them. a lot cheaper than a whole extra cast. WW make's their calipers very custom kit friendly.

Your wheels really dwarf the 14" rotor. Look fantastic though! I can only run up to 13" and a little rotor with my wheels (18" step lip ftl)

Thanks man. The design of my wheels has a lot of advantages such as looking bigger than they are and leaving a lot of clearance for a BBK. While I understand the Wilwood are a low profile BBK I still have an inch of clearance between the back of the spokes and the caliper. But I didn't necessarily want them making the rotor look smaller.

Here's a pic we took during the install showing the difference in rotor sizes. I would have taken more but Nando had to get back to Houston when we were finished so we were in a hurry to get the job done.

hey blue dream that's an AWESOME pick up!

good thing they have that portion between the rotor hat and contact patch painted black. I remember I had paint it myself because it was starting to rust. It's kinda sad Wilwood uses the same exact caliper for both the 13 and 14 inch kits, just a differet bracket and bigger rotors.
