truck vs G, guess who won
Might be more damage that we cant see. Good luck OP
wow.. your dad committed fraud.. congrats.
Estimate came in this afternoon at 1800 bux. I laughed. Labor is listed as 40 bux an hour, and recycled parts are to be used. Am I think this is going to be a long uphill battle. Am I entitled to new parts, not out of junkyards? Any insurance ppl want to chime in?
Its all in ur underwriting of your insurance. Also depends on what insurance company. If you didnt request new oem parts when you had the policy made up then they can pretty much replace with what they want.

+1 see if you can take it to a different mechanic to see what the real estimate is
+2. Make them pay until it's right.
When I got hit, I made sure they did everything right and gave me every last dime.
I had the car brought to a friends shop and put on a lift so I could walk around it with the adjuster and look under it as well so there wouldn't be any hidden damage under the car.

same thing we fif when some idiot in a civic smashed into my friends dads f150, the civic was totaled but the truck looked like all it needed was a new tailgate and thats all the civic's insurance said the would cover until we made the guy get under the car and sell all the other bent parts
I doubt they will put junkyard quarters and trunk floor, etc on. But trunk and bumper, yes. You could try and work the forums for some parts.
