hey R1, were the minis that you used for the low beam plug and play, like how they are supposed to be? or did you have to do some trimming?

The only way the minis would be plug and play would be that it would go in the lower location. All you would have to do is add a shroud to the projector. There isnt a projector that is able to go into the top location without cutting. The shroud will have to be cut everytime for the lens to close into the housings. There isnt a easy way to make quads on sedan lights as there is on the coupes.

Nice combo S2K and FX or TL and ya, still not sure about a quad setup. I'll have to see how I progress on the upper lowbeam setup. You may be ro=ight about the S2K's being a little too far back. Final placement may involve moving them a little more forward. I was just concerned about shroud clearance from the front bezel and lens. After doing the top, throwing something into the bottom reflector should be cake.

Worked on the lights a little today. Had to do some serious trimming on the Apollo's but I think they're gonna work. Here's a few pics with the shroud in place. The bezel will require some trimming too, I'll post up those pics hopefully tomorrow when I can work on them a bit more. It's effin freezing out in my garage lol!

I'm curious how the headlight with the quads reacts to driving snow and freezing cold covering up the outer lens? Love to here some feedback on this from members that have them. That's another reason I'm keeping the halogens (highs/fogs) and keeping them down where they are. My wife's Sentra, has an FX retro so no halogens at all to keep her headlights warm. Because of this, her lights get covered with snow and ice messing up the output and cutoff. With the G retro, the heat from the halogen fogs or high beams will keep the assembly warm enough to keep them from freezing over and preventing snow and ice accumulation....a bonus in the snow zones like we have here.

Ya, I edited my post after I read it didn't make any sense. I was referring to the outer lens getting covered in snow and ice because hid's run so much cooler than halogens, there's not enough heat to keep the snow and ice melted off the lens.
