6 hrs for the cover alone? That's not too bad. I was asking becasue I'm going to have mine done at the dealer ( at lower labor rate) and was trying to get feedback from some who have had it swapped. There is no one I trust around my area to do it other than the people I know at Nissan. Again it came out great! Thanks for your help.

i dunno why that makes me lol everytime i see it
engine bay looks great. i never really noticed the timing cover and alternator not being polished really. everything looks so great. it does look much better tho now that i notice.
few questions i was wondering, what alternator pulley is that on there? i wasn't sure if it was the oem pulley painted or an aftermarket. the reason i'm wondering is because i've been thinking of getting some lightweight pulleys. i read awhile back about the one that ate into the seal in the back of the crank and caused leaks. now i'm wondering which ones are safe.
also, what all is involved in remving timing cover? i ask because i recently changed the hg on an 03 altima and i had to remove the oil pan baffle just to remove the timing cover. it was a PITA just for the removal of the timing cover.

Thanks for the compliment. The timing chain cover and all the work we did that day really made a huge difference in the bay,
The alternator pulley is the OEM one just painted red. I haven't done research myself in regards to aftermarket pulleys, but I know a few people that are/have been running Unorthodox Racing alternator and idler pulleys without a problem.
Regarding the removal of the TC cover, it looked easier than expected, just time consuming, and a lot of bolts to remove....just need the right tools. The oil pan did need to be removed to get to 2 bolts that are underneath it....

Sanded down and ready to paint flat black...
Candy Red Crank Pulley, FTW!
More chrome brackets....
...what is a polished timing cover without chromed out water pump and tensioner covers?
