lord will help me lol.
Ive been doing my research, stretch 245/35 still puts down same diameter of rubber as non stretched on 20x9
also depends what brand I end up with If i was to stretch 245 on 11 with nankangs i'll prbbly just run 235/35 up front.

WORSE case scenario
By ur left foot that 10amp fuse for the AWD. just pull it. So when u start moving, it disengages the front clutch, So u drive around on RWD. I've done that with some set of rim/tire combo I had before for about 3-4 months daily driven. Worked perfectly fine. When I slapped on different setup plugged it back in and AWD as before. 1st gens are lucky with that.

Also I remember someone saying, that if your front is a tad bit bigger in the front it doesnt effect it. So you can run a 225/40 on the 9 and still be good. So now I am picturing the set up, the front and rear are not going to match. You are going to have a really stretched in the rear and and not stretched in the front. I am not sure if you are into that, but I think they should match up stretch and poke. Grant is the about the perfect example right now that I can think of.

Doubt you can find 225/40 profile for 20inch wheel lol. I will make sure everything matches as much as possible.
Ive matched 225/40/19 9.5 with 255/35/19 10.5 stretch was close enough and perfect match of diameters.

Ok you could run a 225/35 f and 245/30 its only a 1.5% difference but the front is taller. But living in NY not sure if you want to run that small of a sidewall.

If anything you are going to want the rear tire to be slightly taller than the front. VDC measures the rotational difference between the front and rear wheels, so if you have a smaller rear tire it's going to rotate more than the front. It's just going to put you that much closer to the threshold, before VDC steps in.

Yes I know. Ulitmately you want the same size of tire F/R, but if you have to run a larger diameter tire on one end, I would put them on the rear.
I'm not to privey on the AWD on these cars, but I believe that it runs rwd until it detects slip then the front wheels kick in (or more power transfers to the front). As I understand it, the rear wheels are the main drive wheels. but I can be wrong since I dont own an AWD, just a 4wd.

ye, its rwd based. but Front never turns off 100%. still transfers some even as low as 5% to the front.

Front tires can run with a lil more taller without problems. But shorter sidewall on front triggers the awd to turn off.

Im sure it wouldnt effect the vdc unless u run like 45 front/30 rear. Its a lil more forgiving on awd.

Since all the masters of fitment are in here. I want those XXRs in 20s too. For my coupe will I need a fender pull as well? I'm already rolled & plan on lowering 1.5-2.0 after winter. That 5" lip is crazy hott. But same as above, if some.better Volks, Works fall into the marketplace I will cop those. Thanks

^^^^ Oh, & I'm not.a huge fan of the stretch & poke look. I want it to b as flush as possible but wld like to run my current set up of 245/35 & 275/35 or 10mm higher on each since they are wider wheels than my current 20x8.5 & 20x9.5.
