How to remove plastic dip?

How to remove plastic dip?

hey guys i have a problem. i plastic dip my stock wheels and painted them gold. and now im trying to remove it and im having a really hard time. i tried using a power wash and its not work any ideas on what i could do? plz help

All you need to do is get something pointy - be careful of the rims- and bring up an edge. From there, peel it all off. You can look at YouTube vids to get an idea - shouldn't take that much effort once you have a piece up.

I did this to my evo wheels back then just to see what black wheels looked like.

The plastidip peeled itself after a couple days.

Most ppl don't apply it thick enough to just peel it all off so an awesome way to get it off or break it down I shld say is to use GASOLINE. It sounds crazy but it works really well. Just make sure you are in a well ventilated area. Good luck.

Brake cleaner should also make it peel.

thanks everyone. but my wheels are not just plastic dip they are painted over with a gold spray paint which made the plastic dip very weak and now is SUPER hard to come off. i wish i just did plastic dip that way it would of been so much easier to just peel it off.

A good way to remove it it's by calling it the correct name. Plasti dip not plastic dip

Even with the paint, it should be relatively easy to peel off if you can get a edge started.
