HD trunks
Thanks for the Pic, It doesn't look as bad as I imagined "bad fitment" would be.
I just might order the Trunk now
Guys I've seen the HD trunk on a whole bunch of cars online and in person on several cars. I have seen 2 that I can recall fitting properly. One was very recent and was the CF version. I have R1 Autoworks checking to see if he can determine if the CF version fits better than the FG version. The other FG version that fit was one on here and everyone was shocked that the guy got the trunk to line up properly with the tail lights since no one else, even with having the pros (body shop) make adjustments, has been able to get to line up where it isn't noticeable that the fitment is off.
You just gotta know when you buy this trunk that it more than likely will not line up properly with your taillights no matter how many adjustments/tweaks your body shop makes. If you are ok with "decent" fitment then you mind. If it will bother you then you may want to look into another option.
I'll post pics....

These two photos represent a good "range" of how the HD fits. The first car (first two pics) is noticeably off, looks like the trunk is popped.

This one fits much better but still a little off (notice how the line under the drivers side reverse light doesn't line up with the line under the drivers side tail light). I think the car being black also hides the fitment being a tad off more than lighter colors.

This CF one has excellent fitment (only off a hair on the drivers side) which leads me to believe that the CF one fits better than the FG one for some reason. R1 Autoworks is supposed to confirm for me.
If the carbon fiber one does fit better it would make a better choice. That causes a dilemma though.
If your going to shell out $450 for a trunk then pay for shipping on top of that you might as well just go to a body shop and have them mold a lip on to your current trunk.(unless your going for weight savings)

Even if you think in the pictures no its ok, just wait until you see it on your car I would be willing to bet it would bug the vast majority of people
It looks different when the sun hits it at times..but yes it's somewhat black
