My bad...this is one of those useless posts.

JGFox 03-13-2006 02:06 PM

Great pics! I like the pic of that G in front of the big house with two garage doors.. On second look it looks like a built-in car port and a garage behind it? Never saw that before... sweet pics either way! keep 'em coming!

Yep--it is a porte-cochere. Most don't have a door on the leading edge--- though some houses with p-c's can put a door on the front. If they do, it mainly stays open unless bad weather hits and the side is usually open or a 1/2 wall or whatever. Very common in TX in certain price-range of houses 200K and up or whatever. Some allow a car's full length to fit in under the port--others--just 1/2 and others are just recessed for looks(not for fitting a car under) Some are single car, others 2 cars wide.
Some are a drive through to a detached garage--most are attached.

In NY, for the first link 37.5k house, you can probably just buy the garage side of the house. :D

I wish real estate is this cheap over here. :)

lol you're not the only one... the price of that house is the cost of getting a driveway done up here! ;) Seriously though, for $375K you can get uh... a house of some variety but it's not like that.

Hey Neal

Would you mind posting a pic of your G simply from the side. I keep going back & forth on the spoiler & prob will not add one any time soon. I am very interested in your set up: front lip + mud guards.

Thanks!
