Smile For the love of G

Thanks for all the kind words and warm welcomes ........... Damm, That was a long wait to get the G !!!! As some may know here, in the process of ordering and waiting for arrival of my G35X GE/Wheat/P/N/T I acquired A 03 FX 45 40k miles,Liquid Copper/Brick/P/N/T. I had no clue as to how much I'd fall in love with this car!!! For those of you fortunate enough to have owned an FX, will with out a doubt understand why I feel this way. For the following synopsis of my experience in the G35X, my comparisons are to my FX45. I totally understand that these two cars are generally not compared to each other, given their different segments in auto classification. From an owners perspective I think it's a fair comparison, being both Infiniti's ...... For Gods sakes,Paul, enough preamble get on with it!!!!...... HaHa
700 miles on my 07 G35X: Within the first 10 minutes of driving off in my new G I quickly learned the most outstanding feature. The G is a drivers car in every sense!!!! Joyfully, this car begs you to drive with all your driving abilities! If you possess none you will quickly acquire them HeHeHe.The extremely smooth acceleration will seduce you into redline before you remember that its the break in period. The Spider man like grip will compel you to seek out late night long high banking exits/entrances. The cornering will bring you to many empty parking lots to practice your dance moves. The luxury/Techonogy will aggravate family members due to the time spent in the garage. In a word the G35X is a piece of JEWELRY! Kind of like a Breitling,Vacheron or Piaget wrist watch. Something thats substantial, practical and fun. (my watch fetish reviled) For those of you still waiting for your G's I hope these are some words of encouragement? To you that have already own a G, I am honored to share your passion.
My top 10:
Acceleration - WOW
Turn on dime cornering - Strap in.
DS mode - Just wait till you see what this is all about!
Cabin noise/road isolation - Its a luxury car no matter what anyone says.
Touch screen - Wash yer hands boys.
Voice command - Give me 100 more.
Seating - Kick back relax, were going for a ride.
APS - Very cool
Navigation - Its a new generation navigation. You'll notice right away.
Review cam - Sweet

Compared to the FX these concerns:
No auto locking doors when above a certain speed. Dangerous and needs to be fixed! Sitting at light, someone is walking towards your car, you need to think "are my doors locked?"
No locking or unlocking from trunk request button. Why?
TPMS - FX visual on on 4 tires, not on G.
Exhaust note - Could be better on the G
When playing audio very loud with navigation, voice guidance does not lower/mute enough to hear.
No trunk pull down.

MUST go drive now................... See ya around.

Thanx empfl

you type in ""

for yours:

also in the message box there's like this mountain landscape button right next to the globe thing that helps you insert pictures

i just realized taht you have to right click, and click on properties to find the true url to the image..

Seattle Cat - congratulations on your 2 great vehicles! I loved your review on the G. Very well put - all your points on handling, grip, acceleration hit the nail right on the head. For me, the best part of work became the commute to work and from work. I look for the sharpest banks and most curvy roads now.
