I guess so, but I wouldn't get aftermarkets... just because I pretty much payed money for it anyways. It sounds pretty good already... but if you really want to, go for it.

I think they didn't get SOW and want to install something other than stock...

Bingo. I have the base system and wanted another option of mounting tweeters other than the base tweeter location (next to the door handle).
