Glenn, I just wanted to give you a big thank you for going out of your way and ordering these for all of the interested members here, including myself. I think I speak for all of us when I say thanks a ton and we appreciate it.

Maybe I can start bringin' over some trick parts for the 'real' G's, huh...?
First off, a big "mahalo" to Glenn for hooking us up with this!
So I'm ordering again cuz I'm a moron. So here's the disclaimer; read on at your own (and your new RC's) risk.
Day one with the car and I've succeeded in inadvertantly disconnecting the headlights and partially melting a rim. I did figure out how to keep the headlights and taillights on full-time as far as the connection to the main power...kinda frustrating that it only works when the car's moving.
Why'd I do this? Cuz I wanted to drop it
So it's pretty simple to pull the body off of the frame. Two screws towards the back (before the rear axle). What the hell? Let's explore a bit.
The wheels are held in place by some glue (?) as well as compression of the plastic (let's remember that) wheel against a steel rod (striations on the rod also help keep it in place).
Rear wheels: no problem b/c it's one solid, long steel rod between the two. A bit of gentle twisting on the two wheels in opposite directions and they're off. Reason why I did this was b/c they were too inboard and I wanted to make them flush. So the compression part/striations comes in handy. Placing the back tires on again but only to get them to contact with the striations partially. They hold pretty well without any glue on their own.
Gaining confidence that I can actually pull this off so I start working on the front wheels only to notice that the wires to the headlight LEDs have snapped. UGH...time to borrow a sodering kit.
Front wheels: Problem here is that it b/c of the turning function of the RC the wheels have independent rods, unlike the back. Dealing with plastic, I figure I'd break out the hair dryer to soften/loosen up the wheel. So, get it nice and hot (mistake!) and then start pulling like a madman. Success! It comes off but then I find that I've warped the wheel. I spend the next 45 min. using the dryer to soften it up and then a pair of pliers to get it back into a respectable shape. Friggin' bonehead but lesson learned and I gently heat up the other wheel and work it off slowly. A few dryer sessions later and it's loose enough to pull off and isn't damaged.
Again using the compression/striations, I attach the front wheels where they're a respectable distance outwards. Put it back together and start having problems with the front wheels falling off. Take it apart again and see that the bar has a ball to keep it in the hole and freely spin. Solution: hairpin. I insert the hairpin into the gap to hold it in place and push the wheel in a bit more and they hold for the most part. Might want to keep a hairpin handy when playing so that you can repeat this but have been playing with it for about 30 minutes and no issues.
Anyways, gonna get another one so I can replace the wheel and have spare parts for the future...maybe do some crazy stuff with the body of the other one like repaint or rice it out
So thanks for listening and as we all know "This post is worthless without pics" so..... (kinda pathetic that I've had my G35S for 3 months now and have no pics of it but took some of the RC)
