Tires:
- Zaino Perfect Tire

Interior:
- Zaino Leather

Black Trim:

looks real nice man, but what I hate about detailing my black stang is that after you take it for a spin, there would be visible dust on the rear of the car.

Lookin' Good! After driving my Black Obsidian for close to two months, I am happy with the way it looks, it's not worse than any other dark color I've owned, I love it!

it's fairly new to be polishing the car, isn't it? Did it have a lot of imperfections already?
I detailed my car not too long ago, and i was wondering if i should polish it or not. I ended up not polishing it b/c there aren't any swirls or what not on my car....

Thanks guys for all the kind words. Detailing is definately one of those things that is a lot of work, but it pays off when you're done. Black definately collects the dust. I detailed on Saturday and left my car in the garage. When I took it out today it already had dust on it.

Nothing a microfiber and some detail spray won't fix.

<TABLE class=tborder cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=6 width="100%" align=center border=0><TBODY><TR title="Post 2527395" vAlign=top><TD class=alt1 align=middle width=125>disgookonfiya</TD><TD class=alt2>it's fairly new to be polishing the car, isn't it? Did it have a lot of imperfections already?

Traditionally I stick to the 2-3 month rule. I check the sticker on the inside of the driver's door to see when it was built. I went really light with the IP and 1.5 of the PC (green pad). My main goal was to get all of the contaminents off the paint and lay the foundation for the FMJ. I forgot on my posting above I also clay bar'd it. While it was only painted a few months ago (and garaged everyday) you would be surprised at the water spots, other contaminents and fine scratches on the paint already.

I've been using Adam's products (good stuff) for a while and then decided to switch over to Menzerna's. So far I've been really happy...it is amazing the depth that can be achieved. I think next time I'm going to finish with some Natty's Blue. I've heard it works well on dark cars.

this might be a little off topic, but where did/do you get your higher end detail supplies? is it the kind of thing you almost have to order online?

When to start waxing your car.......?

I have always started waxing my cars as soon as I get them home, it's never
to soon to start. My previous car ('92 300ZX) had three coats of Zymol
Concourse the first week. All you're doing is protecting the finish and making
it look better than it did on the showroom floor. My cars surface always looks
deeper and richer once I lay some wax on it! (the right wax)

I agree with gary c, there's nothing wrong with waxing as soon as you get your car. As he stated "the right wax" is very important. Having a black car also it take alittle more work. I found Pinnacle products working the best for me. Pinnacle Signature Series II plus a swirling remover. Mainly always wash well and use clean microfiber towels to dry. This link always has good deals on very good wax products http://www.autogeek.net/pisiseiico.html

Thanks guys for the postive comments.

I purchased the Menzerna line from OCDgarage.com. http://ocdgarage.com/menzerna.html

I didn't have any issues with them, but I've read a few posts on this forum that say don't go with them.

The other online e-tailer I use is detailersdomain.com. Phil from that company is a car fanatic and sponsors the Audi forum I use to be on. If you don't see something on his site, shoot him and email and he can usually get it.

Here are some discount codes:
Start date: 11/05/2007
End date" 1/01/2008

10% off anything up to $99.00 using holiday10 as a promo code
15% off anything from $100-$249 using holiday15 as a promo code
18% off anything from $250 and up using holiday18 as a promo code
