Just a quick question, if let's say i want something brighter but don't want to go through the trouble of tapping power wires and do my own wiring, would it be okay to order this kit and just use the hardnesses and everything up to the LED itself and change out the LED to whatever set up of LED I want, may it be a strip or something else?

Would it be okay to just connect the positive and negative wires to the end of the hardness after cutting the original LED out?

ya thats possible, but not sure why you would want any thing brighter for foot wells while driving, in person these LED's are very bright if aimed towards the seats.

Man, I just can't imagine wasting $120 for parts and any of my time on this mod. It's horrible that we have to install something like this. Many of us could manufacture something like this out of spare parts for $25.

My 02 330i had a few orange accent lights that glowed from the interior light area, which gave a slight glow to all the interior. Anybody have a lead on a mod like this?

Sorry if this is a silly question as I dont have any experience with them, does the OEM kit only light up when you open the door? or do they stay on while the car is moving?

It lights up whenever your headlights are on. And stays on the whole tine until you turn off the engine. As I said earlier, i thought it would be annoying to have It stay on the whole tome but it is very subtle so it looks good

It will be cool to be able to have it under the front seats and aim toward the rear passenger foot well as well.. Any Idea on how to do that? I guess a person can always get two sets of them and splice the wire into one plug?

I have done that in my car using the bolt leds, looks nice at night. I wired them with the kickplates so they stay on all the time when headlights are on.

Kool, Have you make any thread about that installation? just want to see what kind of LED you used or how did you do the install as well as the wiring... Doesn't sound that hard to do the mod..it's not too bad right?

Does the color of these match the standard OEM bluish tint of the ambient lighting of our cars?
