Overlays On
#17
The taillights overlay is a bxtch to put on. I screwed up my set, but took my time with the second set and successfully put it on. The key is to have a heat gun handy to heat it up and make the overlay take the shape of the headlight.
I would like to ask how hard it is to do the roof overlay? did you have to use any heat gun? I am asking since I am living in an apartment and my parking lot doesn't have any electrical outlet for heat gun....

it was frustrating, you need the fluid to get bubbles out easily, but the piece will not hold to the lens with fluid. so, yea....1.5hrs later it was krinkled some and had lost some of its stickiness.
in hindsight, i can say, if some one was there to add the head while i used both hands to pull and set it, it might of gone much better.

i just ordered the rear valance and gtr style tail light overlays. do the tail light overlays come with some sort of protective film on either side(there is for sure one on the sticky side but what about the shiney side) so that you don't scratch the film when pressing out the water??
we'll probably be doing the roof overlay this summer.

Hmm.. I have to find some way to get an electric outlet for my roof overlay installation then :< I thought I could get by without the use of a heatgun for the roof overlay installation

the tint is almost professional level. but all the pieces are the way they should be.
