Think of this....

You are involved in an accident at night, your fault or not, and the other guys lawyer finds out you have tint on the front windshield....

Dude I do windshields and everyone I have seen tinted was ticketed and the inspection sticker will ruin the tint when it is removed that is why most people cut a square out when it is tinted where the sticker is. IMO tinted windshields are dumb unless you have a medical issue requiring it or the state law allows a certain percentage.

ya i sat in a car with 35% front windshield, and damn it was just too dark at night. ima maybe do 50 or just maybe leave it as is, and go down to like 5 or lower if i can find a play that will do a 1 or 3% tint on the rest of the windows.

Great point TS. The lawyer would have a field day with that.

i had 35% on my windshield, for medical reasons. It was extremely hard to see out at night on a road with no lights or if it was raining out at night. I would suggest going with 50% if you are going to tint the windshield

ya TS that is a good point. i think its not worth the risk to make the car look just a little bit better, and possibly risking your own or others life's.

I'm fan of light tint. My car currently has 40% all around except the windshield, and i think its too dark.

But my friends GS350 has 55% on the windshield and i think it looks perfect. Plus at night it doesn't decrease your vision.

I think people are missing the point here. If you go super dark on all the windows and then go 35% on the windshield, yeah that'll be too dark at night. If you are going say the legal limit(35% in GA) on the windows then go to say 50% on the windshield I don't see how you'd have a problem. I do find it funny that most don't consider safety, laws or cops when tinting the other windows, but once it gets to the windshield you're gonna t-bone someone and have lawyers chasing you.

Wow, very negative responses surprisingly. I have no issues with the windsheild tint....main reason i got it is because it looks great.....but whatever floats yall's boats.

Yeah, and you'll look great in that suit that's a bit too big while you sit in the defendants chair....

I have 50% on my front winshield and rest 20%. you cant even tell that it is tinted and i can see perfectly fine with it. it helps out on th heat and glare. 50% wont be noticable but if you go darker it will make it harder to see. you might be able to get away something slightly darker.
