Looking forward to it - I definitely like to see new ideas! Mine may not be the best, but that was my first go at it..

Def not bad but red is kind of awkward. Go with blue or white?

Write-up is posted in my first post.. It's a bit late for me, so if anything is difficult to understand, just let me know.
Take care

Nice write up, Lol looks hard, wish I would be brave enough to do that. Maybe i'll just wait store up some cash and find someone who would do it for me! I'm scared of condensation once i put them back together!

BTW, G35Robby, I can't wait for the surprise!

I definitely give you props for doing something out of the box. This is a mod that most of us are probably too afraid to touch. I do agree with some of the others though with the color scheme. It may look nicer if you chose a color that compliments your car's color.

big props to you for trying this out man. very ballsy IMO to do your own work. here is my opinion on these lights...I think the idea on the design was in the right direction but it looks to me the QUALITY of the lights used in this project were poor...i would try to locate different LEDs and check for a higher light output...they just don't look very visible...maybe it's your digital camera, but it just seems too dim

this is why i'm just paying someone to do mine...this isn't easy work...i understand a lot of you don't agree with what im paying for my lights from CC, but its my money so i can do whatever i want with it...it's only a number to me because my car is my favorite hobby, so lets not get into that topic in this thread...

however, halloween is approaching and i will post pics of the CC headlights before and after install...i was almost on the edge of not posting any pics at all, but changed my mind

to the OP: good luck on your next approach at this project, you did a great job for your first mod on your G, i think it probably looks a lot better in person

I'm on the same page as some of the other guys. Props for doing the work yourself but it does look like the LED's are a bit dim.

Thanks for the input.. the LEDs are dim at daylight, at night you can see them, unless the headlights are turned on in which case any more than 10-20 ft from the car and you just see bits and peices of orange... I want to redo these now with white/6000-7000K CCFL halo rings (as seen on bmws).. just need to measure and find the right size rings... one day................

^^, X-vert mentioned in an earlier post that the size you need for our projectors are 92mm for the CCFL...do some research though, you may reconsider using CCFL and stay with the LED's...there are some interesting reads out there on comparisons between LED's...not all LED's are the same...even in terms of the tertiary or binary compound they're made from
