You know, as much as I like the black grill, those two silver strips at the top and bottom just do my NUTS in !!! I bloody hate the damn chrome, I mean why the hell didn't they just paint the entire thing?

That's funny, because I like it with the chrome strips on the top and bottom, along with the chrome Mt. Fuji emblem. I've seen all black grills and just don't like them. I guess to each their own. LOL

I agree with Daffy... that grill screams "Altima"
I think it'd look better if it were all black.

I'd like to have one painted in Slate Blue.
I've also wondered what it would look like to have it painted, but to have the edges of each blade left in chrome, so you can see the edge of each blade. Kinda like how a sword looks with it's ground edge.
I don't know, but it sounds cool.

Lol it does sound cool good luck making it look like that though hahaha, there is a pic of it color matched to Ip but made the car look like a camry. I painted mine like Midnight and I personally love the way it looks.

as far as i know, there are no aftermarket black grilles w/o chrome. You would have to do a DIY as many people have done on this forum

I've had mine on for a few weeks now and have a couple of tiny chips on the chrome parts, but the black sections have held up great... No chips on the black as of yet. Here are a few pics of the grille and '09 lip on my car.
