As for weight, some of them are lighter and some are not. I had a set of 3 piece Work VS-SS rims on my last car and they were heavier than the stock rims. They were excellent, high quality rims that looked great, but from a performance standpoint (weight), they weren't all that special.

As for Axis rims, they are no better or worse than the MRRs. Axis is just another Chinese knockoff brand rim. They just charge more and try to cultivate a higher end image.

Bottom line is, buy what you like and what looks best to you. I'm sure there are many BMW, Lexus, MB, etc. owners who look down on us for buying a cheap Infiniti G35. Let's not be a$$holes about someone's choice of rims.

Forgot to give my suggestion on rims - I would go for some 19" G35 coupe rims. They can be purchased very cheaply and are true forged, strong, relatively light rims. I'm also partial to the M45 19" sport rims which are made by Enkei using their MAT process and are thus very strong as well. I also like the new rims the 370Z comes with. When people start selling their take-offs, I may buy a set.

btw great answer and thank you for your help and suggestions

I'd go with the Elites over the GT-5s.
Good luck with your decision.

chris...there are a lot of people who run the GT1's but i think they still look nice and have a killer lip...if you're trying to buy new i would say go with either the GT1's or GT5's...but I just recently purchased a set of Volks for my car for way under 4 grand lol..

some of you are correct when you say volks or works can cost 3-4k...but the trick is finding them used...there are tons of volk wheels on sale right now for the holidays if you know where to look...you should try the IS350 forums, i've seen some nice volks w/ tires for around 2k on there...

also, you might want to look into the nismo a34's...they're so nasty...i would've gotten them by now but i want the staggered setup...good luck homie and merry christmas

elite's are the best looking of the three by far imo. Don't buy wheels unless you love them. You'll just waste your folks money and want better wheels in a week. Find a wheel you love. If you can't get enough of your folks money to get them, get a job and contribute to the cause.

I'm betting you are feeling guilty about asking them for more expensive wheels now, so you'll settle for these, then come up with a story for why you need better ones later. I guess it's just money, just not your. Get a job and save for them, you'll appreciate it more and your folks will respect you more later in life. You only have one set of parents.

Dude, if you want to track your car and want the best results out of your car.
You go 19 JDM wheels. Those are track rims lol
They wont ever crack or break and they are hella light.
My wheels weigh 17-18 pounds each.
