NEED HELP...19" wheels...225/245 or 245/275???

All ’07-‘08 G35 Sedan owners, I need your assistance! I am getting 19” wheels and DO NOT plan on lowering my car. The main dilemma is the wheelwell gap. I do not want anymore of a gap than what my stock wheels/tires already create. Currently, my stock tires are 225/50/18 (front) and 245/45/18 (rear).

So I have two options for tires:

1) 225/45/19 and 245/40/19
2) 245/40/19 and 275/35/19

With option #1, I keep the same widths but the diameters of the tires are a few millimeters larger. With option #2, the widths are wider but the diameters are a few millimeters smaller.

My question is will a few millimeters make a noticeable difference in regards to the wheelwell gap? If not, then I will probably go with a 245/275 combo because I like that wider, beefy look. Can you please provide comments and/or photos of your wheelwell gaps? Photos would actually be very helpful, preferably with the tire combos mentioned above.

Thank you in advance and have a (T0O)nyce day!

I just got 19s and I went with 245/35 in the front and 275/35 in the back. I didn't plan on lowering it either, but after I saw the gap I wanted to. Here ya go.....

Boss81, good ish man! This is what I was looking for! What is the width of your front and back wheels?

Also, if you were not planning on dropping your car, why did you choose 245/35 for the front? That tire measures 655 mm in diameter, while our stock tire measures 683 mm. The diameter for a 245/40 tire is 679 mm, which is much closer to stock diameter.

I've been using this online wheel/tire calculator:

http://www.bigcustomwheels.com/info_specs.jsp

I wonder how accurate these things are?

The front wheels are 19 x 8.5 and the rear wheels are 19 x 10.5. I was considering dropping it even when I had the stockers, but I thought the 19s would make it look better and I would like it without a drop. I was wrong and I decided to drop it. Here is the pic of the side of the car......

Thnx for the pics! I like the look of your car with stock springs, you didn't? I am content with how the rear sits on stock springs because the gap is not that bad. My problem is with the front wheelwell! Haa! Don't know why Infiniti chose to do that???

Thanks for the compliment! I am the same way, the rear is good, but the front is bad.

I agree. I hate the front gap. I went with 245-40-19's and still have that front gap.
Matter of time before a drop is done... just not today.

if you try 245-45-19, you might get away with less wheel gap.

Your car is an "X", right? They have a higher stock ride height though, so you must take that into consideration. Nice wheels--perfect offsets! Any pics from behind? I want to see how wide your tires look from back there.
