I didint' sand, just adhesive promoter and paint.

I don't know where the engine thread is....main page somewhere? I'll keep looking.

I've considered doing this, but I'll pick up a used cover in perfect condition, and I'll be painting mine is exact match Slate Blue... if I ever get around to it.

I'm not doing anything until this horrible winter finally ends.

I just painted my engine cover tonight because i was bored lol
I'll post up pictures tomorrow.
I hope it came out well cuz i could barely see hahaha

Haha I can't wait, Same thing with mine, It was at night and it was freezing out with loads of wind hahaah, So i kinda missed a side but you can't tell hahaha.

hahaha same here.
It was 37 degrees out and i was wearing my wife beater, PJ pants, and sandals...i was smoking a stoge so i wont get cold, but it didnt help lmao

LOL! thats what I did with my blacked out grille! Hence... its beginning to have holes now... lol I have to redo it in the summer.

It was too cold for the paint to properly set.

Sorry for the dark pictures, i took them in my dark garage. Turning my headlights on helped out a bit though lol
The front may seem that i missed a few spots but thats because of the reflection of my lights bouncing off light from the white garage door (just to make that clear) lmao

I'll take more pictures tomorrow, and better ones

I gotta say, that black cover really works, but someone else said it and I agree...

You have to paint that radiator overflow tank to really get the full effect.
