Damn man, the pics are crazy, looks like the dude on the motorbike went flying head first into your rear windshield. Your car still looks good though, even with all that damage

Glad everyone is okay and sorry to see that with your car. It's worse that someone else was driving it.

Hard to believe the driver wasn't seriously injured. WoW

Damn, that's a lot of $ to fix. It looks mostly cosmetic, so not sure why you're worried that it won't drive the same. Forgive me for not reading the entire thread...perhaps there's something in there revealing frame damage, not sure....

CKP:

A car in an accident will NEVER drive the same or look the same. It sounds bad, but pray that there IS frame damage, so that you can replace it with a new G.

DO NOT authorize any repairs until the body shop fully assesses the damage. Get a second opinion if necessary, as the body shop may try to tell you there is not any frame damage so that they can get the job; they wont get it if the insurance company totals it out.

Doesn't look like much, does it?

That caused the car to be totalled out.

You can see the "hidden" damage which illustrates how the core of the car is damaged.

Once the frame is bent, you can hammer it back into the original shape, or bend it back, or whatever method is appropriate, but it will not be the same.

It's like breaking a bone in your body. Once it's broken, it can heal, but it will NEVER be exactly how it was before. It will be weaker, or be bigger to have the same strength as before.

ckp: damn dude, i'm blown away that the guy on the bike walked away, WOW! too bad for the G but hey, at least everyone's alright and I'm sure they'll take care of the minor details.

mike:
I cannot believe that your bump there totalled it, that is shocking...but makes sense when you look at the other damage.

Yeah, it's insane how much damage there was from a tap in the back. When the body shop had it, they "circle" damage with that pink grease pen. There were marks on the FRONT of the car as a result of the accident.

A lot of the damage on the large panels are not readily visible unless you get a grid and you look at the reflection; with the grid, the waves/damages become much more visible.

@ the OP: I hope you get the result you want out of this. Good luck! If you're in California, I may be able to give you some advice based on my experience.

Sorry to see that happen. If you have the car please let me get the ground wire from between the midpipe and muffler. It screws into the bottom of the car. thx.
