New Invidia Y & X pipes installed

So finally got the new re-designed pipes, and installed them today enjoy the pics:

I'm surprised how clean the exhaust wrap still looks, they've been on for only a month so I guess it's gonna get dirty with time

Why did the redesign the X? Not enough cross over area? How did they determine that they needed to spend the extra expense to redesign it?

lol I don't think they make the exhaust that much quieter, I mainly did it for heat, I hate the heat wave I used to get every time I would open my door, and with the heat wrap it has reduced it to nearly no hot air at all, I'm really impressed.

Oh BTW I changed my ARBs to the stiffest setting as well, I only drove it for a bit today but so far it feels great!! . Now will you tell me how yours felt? lol

I believe they started the re-design based on customer recommendations/complaints about the noise (I could be wrong) but the new X-pipe is supposed to give you slightly better performance, I haven't driven it enough to say so, but it has absolutely eliminated any rasp noise that I used to have, it sounds awesome now, I can pretty much cruise in any gear without worrying about rasp or drone noise.

He's running HFC and the full Invidia catback with the new X (improved crossover design) and Y pipe (dual resonators).

^ Yup what he said, I believe I'm still the only one in this forum with HFCs and the Invidia exhaust

If anyone wants the old X and Y pipes I'm willing to sell them off at a decent price. PM me if you're interested.

I already posted this up in the Invidia Q300 thread but I thought I'd add it here as well since it's relevant.

"Bare in mind this is the loudest it ever gets usually after having the car off over night, and also it's in a closed space so it does sound louder than when it's in an open space. Even after work today (10hrs) the car wasn't loud at all, no where near as loud as it sounds in the clips.

I've got no idea why it doesn't want to embed

Anyway with the before clip you'll hear it pitch up loud at around 10sec:

and this is after the new X Y-pipes:

and by the time I drive for like 30 meters the noise @ idle is much quieter"
