Ha actually that's the pit exit behind that tire wall. There's concrete behind the tires then a tent where they check you in and send cars out from - surprising I know, but that gravel trap is pretty solid. The vid was filmed from the tent

Well it's not a far drive just to do an event! I want to drive TWS or MSR or something over the break while I'm back in Houston. Mix it up before I start on the next level at Driveway

^ LOL. I can barely make it out to the local meets! <g>

But true, it's really not that far. That track seems rather small, i guess that's for the L1 group? That grassy adventure of yours didn't seem like much, but i'll be that still freaked you out, huh? On mine, the car literally jumped back to the track after hitting the edge of the rumble strip, i'm lucky a slightly bent rim is the only damage.

Have you checked out the TWS 2010 special? A prepay for 12 sessions comes out to just under $140 a day!

You have just a regular Stillen Catback with no HFC or pipe mods? I have the same exhaust on my 2nd gen and I've yet to hear it from outside the car. I love the way it sounds from inside the cabin, by far my best and most favorite mod.

I thought the same thing but then I noticed that cars stayed in the gear unusually long for DS mode.

Yeah the L1 track is only about a half mile - but it's extremely technical. That carousel is ridiculous. I'm excited for L2 - it adds a corner that's mirror image of the corkscrew at Laguna Seca, it drops off like 40 feet =-O. I did flags from that turn at the last session this weekend - watched two spec-Mazda open wheel and one spec Miata go at it. That turn makes me nervous.

Yeah, like I have that much to drop in prepay haha. I don't have time for 12 sessions - they have a holiday special for one weekend though I saw. It includes a garage and some other stuff. If there's one early January lets go up there together.

Yep, just the exhaust. I absolutely love it also, it does so much for the car. Looks, performance (debateable - but it probably adds a few HP and drops like 10-15 lbs), sound. I get so many compliments. I'm sure you do too

^The G will tackle that corner like a champ!

I want to do a track day. i might with the 2nd gen. My G was always more of a cruiser... I have done my fair share of twisty runs with the 05 (hehe the Z drivers couldnt lose this 4 door!) but IMO i think our 08 X Sport handles better than the 05.

Nice, that's one thing i miss with MSR, elevation... there's none of it!

Hey, for TWS, are you referring to package D here? Don't they already regularly charge that much for 2-day HPDE's?

A typical 2-day package is $295. Then a garage spot (super necessary in the summer) is another $25-30 per day. Plus a free tshirt and "decal" all for $265. So it's a "steal" haha. The thing that worries me about TWS is the amount of people there and on track at once. Granted it's a huge track.
