Autokits-X sedan rear CF diffuser
Autokits-X sedan rear CF diffuser
Got back from vacation yesterday and found a package from Autokits-X waiting for me.
The diffuser is beautifully made. Fitment was excellent. Because it is only 20*F today, I used a heatgun to get the mounting tape and surfaces warm. I also put the optional speednuts in the bottom corner on each side. I love the way it looks and couldn't be happier. THANK YOU ALEX AND AUTOKITS-X for making this diffuser a reality and doing it right!
ps. I did not wash the car so it is not the shiniest. Lucky for me, PG hides the dirt! Also, those aren't coupe rims...they are 18" Sport Edition cheapies with snow tires.

sick! I just got mine back from the painters so I will be installing this week.
what do you mean optional speed nuts? I have those 2 clips that i was told you just slide on the corners. did you actually drill?

Also, the plastic retainer for the center didn't work for me. I used a push-type retainer like the ones on the bottom--those bottom two were hard to get back in through all the layers (diffuser/bumper/undershield/metal) btw.

gotcha, thats what i thought. I havent decided if im going to drill or not.
the bottom ones are hard to get back in. i used pliers to push the end as tight as possible. Do the push-type ones on the bottom fit the center hole or do i need a different size?

I forget, you got yours painted glossy black? Can't wait to see it on other cars! The CF matches my PG very well...in most light it looks like a dark graphite color.
dont mean to hijack, but i was toying with an idea and i wanted to get some thoughts. what if the rear diffuser was body matched from the red dotted line up(see attached pics). The rest would be either cf or flat black. Not necessarily yours, i was thinking maybe mine. thoughts?

Interesting idea. I do wish the indent on our cars didn't go as high as it does. I guess I would have to see your body colored diffuser before I could imagine how a bi-tone diffuser would look.
