Its actually really cool stuff. I painted my grill too. I messed up the first time and it peels right off like a sticker. If it gets on the paint, just rub it with your finger and it comes right off. Couple VW people I know have painted there wheels

For those, i would suggest removing them, although you can also mask everything off and utilize an Xacto to trim things off cleanly. Unlike paint, once you peel the neighboring mask off, the rest of the painted area will likely lift. A clean cut using an Xacto is highly recommended.

So far so good! I drove behind a gravel truck recently for a few miles, no visible damages anywhere. It seems to also work just fine on "baked on" bug splatter which came off easily with soap/water. Per the suggestion of some, don't use Bug/Tar remover as it will "melt" the plastidip off (confirmed this on some test strips).

In fact, if the can would only spray horizontally, i've got half a mind to try it on the roof.

Awesome!!!! I'm so happy someone else plasti dip their ****!!!!! It so durable... I don't know why everyone who has or wants a black grill doesn't plasti dip it. It was my first mod. 2nd day of owning the car.
