Well as much as I liked the overlays I had on they were slowly deteriorating with the harsh sun and weather we have here. So I decided to get me a set of new lights and have 180 customs paint them.

Now if you noticed my old lights were the JDM ones (Yellow and red) the new ones are US spec lights so they're red and red with no yellow. I actually like them because they compliment my Candy Red Akebono's.

The overlays (are not painted they're a film) which were medium shade dark so you could still see a bit of red coming through the overlay, it's also part of the reason I decided on getting them painted at least now it's either red or black with no in betweens.

but you can get really dark overlays too, I'd just rather get them painted.

 

I prefer the stock tails.

I was the same at first, but after looking at them for 2 years a change was nice.

Yup I agree, I never thought I'd get them painted, but after watching the overlays slowly loose their coverage and quality this was the most obvious choice, either this or putting a new set of overlays on them.

Nope haven't sold them and TBH I won't be selling them. I like the JDM lights and I might get those one painted in the future as well, still not sure. sorry

 

Looks good . I lightly wax my overlays and or quick detail them to keep them looking good .
