I usually use both but when changing oil i move the jack out just long enough to do my thing before putting it back. Even though the car is on stands, i feel more comfortable having one more thing to keep it lifted.

Here's my usual set-up (this is a pic from the ATF how-to)

When bringing the car back down, it's either to the DIY ramps to give enough room for my Arcan Jack to fit, or i bring it down to another 2.5 Ton jack that's waiting on one of the rails before bringing it all back down (this is so i can remove the Arcan from underneath the car, prior to the drop it fit just right, but after dropping it would scrape on that shroud.)

Ahh, come on Sal, I highly doubt you're stupid.

I am just always amazed though at the things people don't know about these cars because they apparently never read the manual. It is really pretty odd when you think about it; considering it is probably THE most expensive and sophisticated piece of electro-mechanical equipment that most people will ever use in their lives, yet they don't even bother to learn how to use it per the instructions.

When I bought my G, I read through the entire manual. About a week after I bought it, I got a call from my corporate asking if I would like to set up an appointment to go over the features of my car with an Inifiniti tech. When I told them I didn't need to cause I had already read the manual, the guy on the phone was shocked. I guess nobody reads the manual anymore.

Reading what in the manual? The entire thing or the features? I figured out most of the features on my own, and if I couldn't figure it out, I looked it up.

As for maintenance and stuff, never needed to know how..

Nice and clean. My last car had a stone interior and it was such a pain to keep clean.

Bluedevil, why do you have stone seatbelts in the rear, and did you swap the coupe rear seats into your sedan? Or am I just imagining you have a 2+2 sedan?

I use to have the stone color seats then i took it to Chuy's and they redid all my seats w/ blue double stitching. When i get enough money seatbelts are next to go. Maybe one by one
