Ripped it through a couple gears as I was late for work. Speeding a bit, went to turn onto another street and notice flashing lights half way around the turn. Pretty much said "****" and pulled over.

Speeding. 42 in a 30. $12 ticket.

Not a typo. The tickets here are $10 plus $1 for every 1 mph over. 10+2mph over=12 bucks.

You guys just dont get to experience that kinda stuff because unlike your states, mine is the only one in the nation that isn't in debt, it is in a SURPLUS of cash.

I know. I got pulled over in Montana about ten years ago for passing a HWY PTRL doing just about 90. He didn't even flip his lights on; just calmly flashed me over a few miles ahead when he caught up to me in the next town. He apologized for having to do it, and he lowered it to an 85 in a 75. I paid him on the spot for the fine. It was $20. Afterwards, and being from Cali, I figured heck, it would be worth 20 bucks just to be able to speed freely.
