Well, I don't go for looks so much as most people on the forums, so my opinions on up-sizing wheels and tires is probably a bit different. As far as I'm concerned, 18" is PLENTY big. You don't see a lot of racers using much more than that as it becomes a function of diminishing returns. Just look at the weight of a stock size RE-050A 18" rear tire at 28lbs. and compare that to a stock size RE-050A 19" rear tire at 30lbs. It gets even worse than that, because those 19" wheels will undoubtedly weigh more than an 18" wheel too. And even further compounding the matter of the added tire weight, is the fact that the added weight is furthest from the axis of rotation, so the effective rotational mass is greatly increased. This is basically a fail for acceleration, braking, and steering, handling, etc. Nonetheless, everyone still seems to think it looks cool, so I guess my opinion on the matter isn't going to win any popularity contests.

It's interesting to me that you have that kind of donut.

p.s. I agree with vq about weight. If all you really want is looks, size is irrelevant. But for practicality, 18s wins. (Or 17s if you can do it)

Non sport. I think I'm gonna pick up a set of 2 tires for the rear and keep shopping for rims. Looking at enkei gtc01 in the future.

Sal, if I parked like that in my neighborhood (Irvine), my G would get towed the same day. No joke!

"Cruze is too white, Sal!"

"Okay, how about I add a strip of black to the minivan?"

"Meh"

"Fine, i'll paint the entire bottom half of the Civic black!"

"Better, i guess..."

...

"I know! I'll blackout the G entirely!"
