It gets even worse than that, because those 19" wheels will undoubtedly weigh more than an 18" wheel too. And even further compounding the matter of the added tire weight, is the fact that the added weight is furthest from the axis of rotation, so the effective rotational mass is greatly increased. This is basically a fail for acceleration, braking, and steering, handling, etc. Nonetheless, everyone still seems to think it looks cool, so I guess my opinion on the matter isn't going to win any popularity contests.

p.s. I agree with vq about weight. If all you really want is looks, size is irrelevant. But for practicality, 18s wins. (Or 17s if you can do it)

Non sport. I think I'm gonna pick up a set of 2 tires for the rear and keep shopping for rims. Looking at enkei gtc01 in the future.
