But that's pretty ghetto. Pls put back on your mufflers or at least get an aftermarket to finish off the look. Everything else looks great tho!

I don't like how mufflers look on these cars lol. I'm going to do something with the rear bumper and get rid of the cut outs for the tips.

How did you switch out the lens? was it a hard project to do? i thought about doing this also. Off the top of your head, was the stock lens 2.5in or 3in? the STi-R lens are 3in and i know the tsx-r lens are 2.5. i thought about going with the tsx-r lens.

Exactly.

They hang too low. I would be much happier if either the bumper came down lower and the cutouts would hug the tips more, like the 335i's, or if you weren't able to see the mufflers from the side.

Uhhhh on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being hardest, for someone that's never opened up a set of headlights, a 9. And for someone that has opened up headlights, a 4. The stock lens for the V36 is 3". I ordered their "G35" size, but it was 2.5" (for the DE G coupe). I contacted them and they said I need the STi's because of my 3"ers.

Doing this beats the hell out of aftermarket 6000K+ bulbs. You still keep the brightness of the 4300K, with a shaper cut off and from a distance, it's all blue, purple, yellow, etc.

I would really like to do this, but i cant trust myself to separate the headlights. The brightness of the headlights are awesome with the new lens. i get the whole process with baking the headlights and carefully opening them up, but still not confident to do so. Thanks!

STi-R clear lense mod is one of my favorite and cheapest upgrade by far. Pair it up with some 6000k Philips Ultinons, and it looks great at night! I really love the purple hue that it brings out with a new array of colors to the light spectrum.

Here's a quick reference to my lights after 180 Custom got a crack at em.

List of Mods:
  • Flat black housing
  • Color matched projector and parking light shrouds
  • Orb LED rings
  • Sti-R clear lense swap

The difference is seriously night and day. OP I didn't mean to thread jack at all. Thought it would be appropriate since we were on this topic. If you don't like it, I can always delete.
