Nite shade tints
First time playing with nite-shade. For those who don't know it's a can of spray-on tint for around $10.
Did this last week but finally got a chance to post these up. Took around 20 minutes to take out tail lights, had to figure out which screws to remove. then about another 15-20 minutes of prep work (clean and sand a lil bit) then prep the area. Finally paint which took a good hour or so including in between coats. Therefore a total of Approx. 2 hours. Not too bad for my first time.
I decided to run the outlines darker then lighter towards the middle to make it seem like its fading inwards.
I kinda liked it before the tints but it does look nice though...

Lol it looks kinda nice without any tail lights...

Did two light layers and finished the outlines with random streaks until I was content. I didnt cover it with clear. Didnt want it too glossy. However i regret not putting a light coat of the clear.

Thanks man. The hardest part was cutting out the perfect piece to cover the reverse light. Used some plastic food wrap and worked like a charm

not sure i understand!??
They should have come like that from the factory! Looks sweet, nice job! Going the extra mile and doing blocking the reverse light for the tint looks much better--I wish I did that.

I use Saran wrap (plastic wrap for food) and wrapped it around the taillights. ( just enough to cover the reverse light area) Then I ran a knife through the outline of the reverse area or you can use an xacto blade but I'm afraid it may be too sharp and actually slice and scratch the tails. I used a dull'ed knife I had and just ran it across the outline. Then carefully rip off the saran wrap of the taillight area, while leaving the reverse area intact with plastic. I'm sure there are better ideas but this is what I came up with.
Thanks man. The hardest part of this whole project was this lol. I had to redo this around 3 times until I got the perfect piece. I actually saved it lol in case I have to redo this again in the future.
