It does look a bit different, the wheels and back look different, but not the best pics.
Thanks for the pics Kenny, and since you are an FX owner what are the differences you see?

That maybe just a test mule with the current shell and different lighting.

Yeah, I'm not feeling them either if it is truly the next gen FX. The front is just all out of whack. The headlights and tail lights are, well, different.

Not what I was expecting. I was expecting a more muscular, curvaceous body like we saw with the new gen G.

Thanks for the comparison differences Alex. I could see it was different , but wasn't sure what had changed.

well i think it might be the next FX.... they are doing the testing of suspension and handling in Germany now. It looks like the rear is a little longer and the FX is wider.
they put on bigger side view mirrors....
the brakes look like they could be 13" +
the lines of the hood and fenders resemble the new G sedan and G coupes.

it's not a bad look -- the headlights gotta get used to them but i think this will be a good seller. i can't wait for the new interior like the EX/G/QX has the new interior already.

Don't let my mini-rant change your mind as I know you wanted to get one. You know how it is...when you first see pictures it isn't so attractive. Seeing the car in real life might be something completely different.

Kenny, like you, I'm really looking forward to the interior overhaul!

Thanks Kenny and Alex.
I think you are right, we have to wait till we get better pics and we can see them in the flesh. I am still hoping the 3.7 will find it's way in the new FX and I would'nt want vehicle to get heavier, which would negate the pluses of going to a more powerful engine.

^Wayne, I highly doubt the FX weight will be the same. All of the G cars have increased without the car getting any bigger. The FX is going to be larger so it's nearly certain to weigh more. How much? Guess we'll wait and see. Wouldn't surprise me to be another 300lb+.

I hear you Deane. Especially since the EX came out, I'm worried this bigger brother will be growing.
When I took out the 07 FX35 I loved it, I just wanted a bit more power, but did not want to go to the V8.

Actually, Deane, I think the FX could possiblly weigh nearly the same as the current model even though it is slightly larger. Above is a link to thread I started earlier. It talks about the use of aluminum to cut weight and keep it lighter than the X5.

Oh...and why won't Infiniti bring over headlight washers for the U.S. market vehicles? I've found I could have used it way more than once in this weather.
