It just looks too out of place.

The only place that the G can get away with LED strips is on the sidemarkers or headlights.

Gee, I wonder if you can make them move back and forth like Night Rider?

J/k I like em' May get some myself. Has anyone run these in the fog and what kind of pattern do they put out at night.

Pics

Here in this pic, you can see me tap into the corner light wiring. Strip a bit from the jacket, then attach the wire from the LED to the corner wires.

Prepping the placement of the LED using some masking tape.

Finished product

Finished product - different camera settings.

Nice.
maxdeus: what do you have in your fog lights? They don't seem to be the boring, yellow halogens!

What strips are people generally using for this setup? (V-LEDS??)

IMO i think that the LEDs really need to be the full length of the vents - thats how im gunna do mine.. I'll post pics.

For the love of God, mods please delete this thread before anyone else does this!!!! U guys are double stick taping cheap led strips to your mesh?!?!?! At least get some authentic a6 strips or Porsche ones but taking some leds putting some tape on them and slapping them on your mesh???. Yes, they look okay when they are on but look like absolute trash when theyre off (at least theyre black I guess). Even when they are on you can tell they are just surface mounted. A long horizontal strip of light does not go with a thin, tall headlight. If you look at any car that runs a stock horizontal led strip it has a very wide headlight above it ie BMW, AUDI, pulling off the look much better. Seriously...rethink this "mod" if your considering doing it.

LOL I have an IP coupe too! man I'm really consider doing this mod, FK! literally on the edge of buying. But DEFT made a good point about how our headlights are vertical oval shape instead of those horizontal ones like bimmers. hehe, I think mounting it on the upper wall like B1gK1d did creates a better mask for whenever they are off. damn, anybody else in this? post some more pics please, help me decide LOL.
