You are correct. Marriage does wonders for your insurance rates... For comparison, to add my 17-year-old brother to my policy with his beater 94 Camry, liability only, was going to cost him $1700 a year

My Insurance Co: Wawanesa General Insurance (only in OR and CA)

Age: 22
Gender: Male

Accident History: 2 0% fault accidents (they don't count against me)
Ticket History: None

Cars Insured: '92 BMW 325i (salvage), '07 G35 Coupe (motorcycles are under a different insurance co.)

Coverage Limits: 100/300/100 - FULL COVERAGE
Annual Cost: $1700

This company is very quick and reasonable with their estimates, with very nice prices to boot. My 2 motorcycles and 2 cars are all purchased and owned by me (not my parents), and no one else is on my policy.

even if accidents arent your fault and dont count against you they still go on your perminant record, and your rates can go up not always but they can....

I have $500,000 / $500,000 liability limits, $250 comp and $500 collision deductible. I pay $992/year.

I am 32,married, and also have a 2007 Subaru Legacy on that policy, same coverage, but $1047/year.

Total for BOTH cars...$2039/year.

BTW, I'm insured with Erie Insurance Group.

22 Years old here, from Rochester, MN. Paying 1150 every 6 months for an 05 6MT, rates are higher cuz of the power increase . But I too am with Allstate, they have always been lower, at times significantly cheaper than Geico or other companies by a couple hundred every 6 months. My only ticket was almost 3 years ago, 64 in a 55 :P

33 married in St Paul MN.
250/500/100 coverage. 500 deductible across the board
Paying just under 700 bucks/6 months for my G and my wife's Subaru Forester.
Insured through state farm.

The best part, when I bought my G ('07), my insurance dropped by nearly $100/6 months from my IS300. My wife's Subaru forester (also an '07) saw the same drop in premiums from her old '01 Sentra SE.
