Be willing to travel or have a car shipped for your best deal. I live in Michigan and had literally 2 cars to choose from when looking for a 6MT 2006. I work in California frequently and the G cars are like what people buy to comute back and fourth to work or the grocery store (ie. very, very plentiful). If you can take the time to travel or pay to have one shipped, I would be shopping on the west coast.

Why an automatic? It's a sports car.

all the more reason to get a 6mt. Learn the right way. Your letting your fear of one extra pedal stop you and after a weeks practice, you'll be old hat at it. Honestly, its not hard, just takes practice and you'll surprise yourself with how fast you pick it up.

I'm sorry...your first car!? And you get to pick between a G and a Z???!!!
I think my first car was a 1976 chevy van!...what ever, different conversation.

I believe that the G35 Coupe is an all around nicer car, not better, just nicer. (ie. A bit more refined with a back seat). If you don't need a back seat go with the 350Z, you get just as much or more performance and save a couple of bucks for UPGRADES!!!

Oh ya...Wanted to also add...

If you are buying the car because you want a drivers car, a sports car, and plan to drive it as such carving canyon roads, screaming through the gears with the wind in your hair...you get my drift...get the 6MT. You will someday be dissapointed with the automatic (not that it is a bad car) because there is something missing from the driving experience when you don't have to shift gears. If you are buying it to commute in traffic and have no plans to drive it like a sports car, get the auto and just enjoy having a nice ride. Just my opinion based on several purchases over the years settling for an auto and regretting it every time. Either way you go you will have a nicer car than most and a better looking car than everyone driving something other than a G or Z.
