Chicagoland infiniti/Nissan service

Guys,

I am trying to get a transmission oil change and diff change since i am closing in to the 30K tune up. I was qouted $150 for trans and $120 for Diff which is prepostures. Anyone have better luck with prices with other dealers ?

Thanks in advance

Which dealership was that at? I haven't had those services done yet, so don't know what a good rate would be. Did you try a Nissan dealership yet? I would just take mine to NTB, but that's because I have a cousin who works there and he'll do the work on my car....

Motorwerks in Barringon IL. I also think you can only put in nissan/infiniti approved trans oil so you might want to double check that at NTB otherwise your warranty gets voided.

Was that a quote for a transmission drain/refill or a flush? Take it to any Nissan dealer they will do the same exact work alot cheaper in most cases! IIRC when i went in for my 30K service the trans flush was around $159 and the differential fluid change was $59?

Transmission fluid must be Nissan Matic J and Nissan knows this, but just double check thats what they put on the work order. I get all my service done at Woodfield Nissan in Hoffman Estates and they love seeing Infiniti's roll up. Only bad thing about taking it to Nissan is you dont get a loaner usually and you dont get all the free Infiniti luxuries at their dealerships.

Do they do regular maintenance/repair service too? Hmmm...interesting alternative to the dealership if they specialize in our cars and have reasonable prices.

Join up with the local group, ChicagoZ.com. They have Autobarn Nissan as a sponsor, who gives them mad discounts on parts and labor. They also have a free shop night coming up where you can bring your car in after hours and do work for free, with techs there to help. Shop night is Aprill 22nd.

^ I have to agree with Larold. There is no reason not to take your G35 to Autobarn Nissan. They are a sponsor on the local club and take care of G and Z owners.

What other dealership in Chicago allows ppl to come in at night, use their tools and lifts... FOR FREE?

More info on shop night here:
http://chicagoz.com/v-web/bulletin/b...ic.php?t=12056

They also offer ALL parts 10% above their cost! No gimmiks or BS. They wil straight up HOOK YOU UP if you mention you are part of the local ChicagoZ club.

Funny, at one of last years "shop nights" we had about 7 G35's and only 2-3 Z's! So please, do not assume they will not take care of you just because they are a "nissan" dealership."
