Things to do in Kansas City
My wife and I will be in KC the second weekend of October. We've been there a few times and love it. We are staying at the Hyatt (we've stayed there three times, have to eat at Sky's). We also have the Boulevard Brewery tour scheduled, my favorite beer! I see they have the KC Power and Light district open now so we'll check that out. Also we're going to Harrah's. We've been to Union Station, that was pretty cool. What are some other things to do there that would be great for upper 20 year olds?
P&L can spiral out of control into young, underage drinkers. For the most part though, people really like it.
I assume you know about the Country Club Plaza, right? Your wife will love it - high-end retail stores and some of the best restaurants I've ever been to anywhere in the world (literally). Good bar scene and recently a decent club scene down there too.
If you guys are into it you should look into doing the haunted houses since you'll be there in October. They make them in huge abandoned warehouses near downtown. Also check Bartle Hall to see if any good conventions will be in town.
And if you haven't had the BBQ, you have to try Arthur Bryant's for lunch. A more upscale BBQ place which is hands-down the best BBQ I've ever had is Fiorella's Jack Stack BBQ. Try their burnt ends - you won't be disappointed! There's 3 (I think?) locations in the metro area.
And Sky's is awesome! I love that place!
