No, its not an inaccurate statement, because they didnt do good work. It had bubbles in it and it turned green. When I had it redone my new tint guy showed me the difference in quality of tint and pointed out their shoddy job. So, for my experience with them, it is accurate to say that they did not do good work. In addition to that they left a mess in my car (the mixture they use) all over the door panels.

Brandon - How dark is that? And is the front windshield a bit lighter? Have you ever had an police issues for your tint? I know you said your tint guy does good work, but does he also warranty his product/installation in case mine ever does go bad?

Is the front windshield in general something I would regret not getting tinted? My original plan was just the sides and back at 20% and hope to not have any hassle for the darker front sides. I figure the windshield would be the biggest chance to get a tint ticket and also wasn't sure how much visibility you lose at night if the whole thing is 20 or 35%. Might be best to just find people with various tint levels on their car and check it out first hand for my preference.

On a side note, I washed, cleaned, and waxed my car today and am really enjoying the way it came out... just need to avoid this rain for a few days!

Its dark all around and yes, he warranties his product/installation. My windshield is NOT tinted though and I wouldnt recommend it. Ive never been hassled by the fuzz ever.

Heres a handy link with tint info for each state:
http://www.tintdude.com/ntoo.html

Basically, around here, if you go darker than is legal; drive at your own risk.

I meant it was an inaccurate statement now. Maybe in the past they didn't do a good job, but obviously they changed something because I was really impresses with them.

I would also not recommend tinting your windshield, that's just asking to get pulled over.

Well yea, I have no idea how well they do now. And, again, this was way back when they first opened up (I mean, ive been through 3 cars and a wife since then, so it was definitely some time ago). So, maybe they are better now. I wont ever find out nor give them another chance though, first impressions are a biatch, lol.

I would recommend ZIPS Detailing, I was a past employee there. I did 15% all around my windows and loved it. We're the only ones that use 3M tint and if you've ever felt 3M's tint you'll see it's thicker than most other companies. Nationwide warranty through 3M and we have the best prices around.

Well i ended up getting my car tinted a few days ago. Pretty happy with the results and definitely like the look of it. Eventually i'll get a chance to post a picture or two up, it seems I have no problems taking the pictures, I just never feel like taking the time to upload them to share.

Whered you end up going and what percentage did you go with? PM if you dont want to say out in the open. Oh, and what color is you G btw? I dont think I read that anywhere.

On a side note, is your G bagged? With a name like Tbaghs, it would be fitting and pretty dope if your car was bagged to go with it.

Haha no it isn't bagged, but not a bad idea, then just get vanity plates to go with it :P

I called around and ended up going with Auto Glass Tint on 88th and Center, the guy seemed very knowledgeable and they have been around for like 25+ years so not only did I feel a bit more comfortable taking it there, I also knew it wasn't going to be one of those "lifetime warranties" and the shop closes down a year later leaving you empty handed if something went wrong.

They used 3M tint for the same price as just about everyone else I called so I feel it was better quality for the same money. He had 15% and 25% so I went with 15% for everything minus the windshield. I'm happy with the results.

I'm not sure what the factory color is called, I haven't really checked into it I guess, or just over looked it. I consider it pewter if that helps.

Not a bad choice on percentage, but again, 15% is illegal. Doubt you'll get pulled for it, but you can.

As for your car color, I think you're referring to DG. If so, that dark tint is going to look nice with that color. Throw some black wheels on there... oh yea.

I haven't looked much into wheels, but mine have some decent rash on them, probably the biggest cosmetic issue with the car, at least when up close.

Initially i'm considering mostly chrome with some black accents or having the polished aluminum alloy (or whatever material the stock ones are now) along with chrome accents/trim would make for a sweet wheel, but i'm not even sure they make wheels like that. The current tread still has a lot of life on it though so I don't think I'd be getting wheels anytime soon... maybe look into some exhaust or minor engine mods.
