o what fun..
I took the g out of storage last night and drove it around for an hour or so. As I was getting comfortable everything was working right I got a little froggy. It just so happens the gods liked me and gave me a nice looking Camaro SS at the next light. Of course we both looked at each other and it was on in 3. 2. 1 I dropped the clutch with a little to much ambition and smoked the tires. Realizing my mistake I let off a little then quickly starting gaining on him. I chirp second and third (one louder than the other) and we are neck and neck until 6th gear and then, the radar detector!! We both hit the brakes almost at the same time and dive for the left hand turn before the hill on KC 7. Luckily we don't even see the police officer and I go home with one-hell-of-a-grin on my face.

 

What up guys..Never actually paid attention to this thread but i am also in the KC area..we do some meets for the most part. i'll keep you guys informed on what goes on..i drive a black G37s

Hey guys, I'm in Shawnee near Shawnee Mission PKWY and 435. I'm up for a geek out whenever.

 

well we should def get something together! seems like nothing ever happens around here...

 

It's been my experience that trying to get a meet together is pretty hard, especially when people have families to tend to. I'd be happy to have everyone over to my house in Shawnee. It's easy to get to from 435. My driveway is flat and about 70 feet long. I just ask that there be absolutely no showboating in the neighborhood as we have lots of kids around and I have Shawnee police and the Shawnee fire chief as neighbors. Same goes for if we have beer. No underage drinking at all.

Another option is for everyone to meet at House of Boost on September 19th for Cars, Coffee, and Cure http://www.houseofboost.com/ from 8am to 1pm. I'll be there. My G won't be entered, but we still could all meet each other and check out each other's Gs.

I'll be racing in the SCCA event on the 9/27 out at the Metro Precision Driving Center in Independence if anyone wants to join me or just to come out and watch (it's free to watch). Later in the fall, I'll be back out KCIR to see if I can break 14.3s. I may try running at Heartland Park too.

 

WHEN: Sunday, October 18th. Driver's meeting & Directions @ 10:00am departure approx 10:30am. Cruise will last approximately 2-3 hours and end at somewhere we can eat lunch.

Trying to get all my G's together!!

For those of you that have attended one of these before, you can explain in a little more detail to those that have not what they should expect. The short of it is; you'll be provided a map (navigator recommended) with directions for a Sunday drive in the country.

 

I'm a past owner of an '04 coupe. I have a set of winter tires and rims that I had on the car this past winter. Dunlop Graspic DS-2 tires.
225/55/R17 in the rear.
225/50/R17 in the front.

I've attached some photos. The tires have plenty of tread life remaining and these will fit your G. Asking $650 for everything.

just saw a G on 635 today...looked nice. sedan w fin. think it was 2006 or 2007. had fog lights behind the bottom of the front bumper...debadged. looked really nice. let me know if its you.

 

i drive a lazer red 06 G coupe with 19's and a black roof and a few goodies under the hood, gimme a wave or a honk if you see me!

Does anyone in the area have a shop they can recommend to return my car to stock?
Also I am in need of a factory plenum, full exhaust, factory fuel rail and injectors. Anyone have any of the items listed for sell?
