So i was coming back from lunch yesterday on 494west with two co-workers in the car with me and a new Camaro wanted to have a little fun (from the sound of the car I thought it was the big V-8). We were doing about 80 so i dropped it a gear (my first mistake, should've dropped 2!) and started to slowly gain some speed when i heard him downshift and took off... MAN THOSE THINGS ARE QUICK, i was soooo frustrated

Because a 2 seat sports car in college in Fargo ND just wouldn't be practical especially once the white stuff begins to fall.

Hossam, that's why you need a little nitrous. It did wonders for my car.

That just doesn't sound like it would be healthy for the motor.

If installed correctly and running things like WOT switch, window switch etc it will be safe.

i don't know man... i'm with Janik on this one! I'd feel very worried all the time. plus with that much cash for parts and labor, i can sell the G and get a Vette for the same price about.

on a different note... check this out, very interesting http://www.engadget.com/2010/10/08/a...i-shows-up-to/

Parts and labor would come to about $1500. Not bad in my opinion. I've never heard of anyone having problems using nitrous if installed correctly and using a low shot. Also, getting a tune done makes a huge difference. My buddy owns RS Motors and he hasn't heard of anyone having problems with nitrous when installed/tuned correctly. Good read on nitrous:

I think i'd rather just have a V8 or something with a turbo if i wanna go fast lol so much easier and cheaper to make power.

Maybe I really need to go find me a purple impala like my buddy Lance And Lance, you know you'd already be rocking a 37 if it weren't for things like oh...a new house and an upcoming wedding.
Honestly Peng, its a great idea. For winter in MN, you really don't need much. You need a car that you don't care if it gets full of salt, but most of all that is mechanically sound. If it has heat, a good transmission, and strong motor, = PERFECT winter beater :-) Working windows and AC are always a plus to be able to drive it year 'round too! :-)

Also, you couldn't say it any better about the house and wedding. When I sold my G and bought my house, what I was paying for my car payment & insurance went directly added onto my rent payment to get a monthly housepayment. If we wouldn't have purchased a house I WOULD be an owner of a G37 this second, no ifs ands or buts about it....

What's up guys. Does anyone know how to take the grille off a 2003 sedan? I can't get the grille off, I've read a few DIY's on the forum but can't figure it out. Thanks guys

Sorry Josh, not really sure. If it's anything like a coupe, you basically have tabs that you can straighten out so that it can be pulled forward off from the bumper. They kind of bend up to lock in place.
