I'm thinking axle back right now, but by the time I actually do something I will likely want to do full cat back with high flows possibly if the price is right. Intake and spacer next. Throw some tint on and get a clay bar 2 stage detail this spring. What are some good vendors for exhaust systems, intake and spacer? I'll start my research now.

Lance, we'll have to debadge it one of these weekends coming up in Feb or Mar.

injen is the best n the only one to show actual gains in mid to top end HP with a cold air setup. Spacer will be motordyneengineering.com , I would recommend the 1/2 as it will still accomodate for a front end sway n give a bit deeper tone. U would want the ISO thermal setup. Hi flos I would say the berks, but I actually enjoyed the sound of my kinetix while I had em. For exhaust would u wanna do a true dual or single pipe to dual tips? Check out g35turbo.com they will help provide lots of info.....or just ask me :P

Lance- How would you not know that I would want to do exhaust even if I haven't said anything man? Remember the stang? I put two different systems on that thing.

If you need any recommendations for an exhaust, I have been researching them. I am picking up an 07 6spd sedan here in the next couple months and must have exhaust on it. Still haven't quite decided what I want yet though lol

Didn't know because of all the tickets you had gotten WITHOUT A DOUBT an exhaust on this car would sound like day and night compared to your other one.

I've been studying and looking at a fast intentions exhaust for myself for the last few months. Only thing I can justify right now is the price(about 1400). Hopefully AFTER our wedding...but until then expenses have been put on hault.

As for Mikes recommendation on a plenum, Mike wasn't I going to get a 1/4" when i had my 35? Janik what did you have? if I remember right its more for mid gains, without a fuel economy change?

...Janik they only make a 5/16" or a 1/2" Spacer. Did you buy something diff than MD? I guess you could do a kinetix direct airflow, but I prolly wouldnt lol

Well, the only ones I ever recommended were the Motordyne Engineering ones, and they dont make a 3/4"....so I wouldnt have told you to get a 1/4" Lance. The big advantage with the spacer is more torque and I would say better fuel economy. The concept is that on the VQ35 platform, the front 2 cylinders are minimized for airflow, and by giving more space into the combustion chambers it creates more torque and possibly more hp too. Fuel economy gain would be an advantage too. I know I could do 75 in my coupe and still get 24 mpg...if I went the speed limit I was able to get close to 28...not too far off the 26 I can get in my M! I added the pulleys and for 330ish plus install...give or take about 3 hour install will give a more responsive engine as well as 8 to 9 hp n tq gains. Plus a bit smoother idle, and I didnt notice too many issues with taking off, but the flywheel gives huge gains and since most arent dual mass like the OEM causes some rough idle issues as well as more tricky starts from 1st and 2nd :/

Haha, its cool. I know there are some other aps "tall boy" plenums floating around...but I wasnt crazy about em. I almost got the kinetix one. But by the time I found out about it, I already had the upper spacer setup...so it wasnt cost effective to get it. hotelcrazy on youtube and facebook has it on his Z...it sounds pretty bad *** with the top speed exhaust

Mike - How hard is it to replace the flywheel? I know this is one of the better mods to do to almost any car. I assume it's an aluminum one or other light weight metal to reduce rotating mass coming off of the engine. And about the spacer, the motor dyne one is for the upper intake right? If so, what kind of things are availible for lower intake? Wat is the major difference between the copper and non copper ISO spacer?

Lance - Hey now, I only got 3 tickets (for equipment anyway) and they were all for the 2% tint job I had. I only got a warning for the loud, cat-less exhaust. I do not want anything that loud again for a DD. I think I probably want to do just an axle back for now. I may later move to do a full system. This summer's goal are the detail, tint and spacer first.

T Hayes! The ISO is highly recommended anytime you're driving a car in temperatures unter 55 degrees to prevent the trottle body freezing. It keeps the CCV open. In warmer weather the valve can be closed for better performance in relation to a term called "heat soak" by thermally isolating both the upper and lower plenums. It also says "if there's snow in your area...us the COPPER one"
There is an upper and lower plenum that can be installed, Mike'd done it a million times...haha!!

Yeah, I would wait till the weather is atleast over 70 degrees to tint you're car to make sure it bakes on fully. Black on black w/ tint..>SIIICK<. I'll actually prob go in with you because I'd like to get a windshield banner put on my 37 like i have on my impala. Also,....I'm betting you I get you to lower you're car be the end of 2011. :-)

MIKE...you got off Monday for Martin Luther King JR?? Taylor I know you do!! plans????

Tevi? Peng? Hossam(haven't seen ya on here in a while?) Everybody else? What you up to? It may be winter, but it'd def be good to see all of ya!
