Great Lakes Dragway Track day 4/09/05

Hey its been awhile since i posted here, and for those that know me, no i still haven't got my G35 cuz i got into some financial problems. But neways I thought this might interest some of you. But some of us from Maxima.org, Altimas.net, and some other Nissan forums decided to go to the track on April 9th. The track is going to be at Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, WI. This might be opening week, but you get to race for $12 instead of $25. So here is your chance to see what your G can do and test you driving skills at the track. I will post more information as soon as it comes available.

Xander
Still stuck with my 97 Max.

I think all of us is just going to be meeting there, considering that we are all coming from many different directions and different times. Im coming from Carol Stream, others Westmont, Aurora (if turbo kit is complete), Chicago, Madison Wi, Kalamazoo Michican (thats only if he finishes his turbo kit), Glenview, and much more This should be fun. In the past we attempted meeting up somewhere, but some people were to early other were way to late. Which pretty much cause the rest of the group to be late all together at the track.

Im planning on leaving 7:45ish in the morning because it take about 1hr and a half to get there. To get to GLD basically you would take 294 to 94 North depending where you are coming from, or just 94 north you will pass the IL/WI border and exit 337/KR Kenosha/Racine. At the exit you will make a left, drive down Hwy Kr for about 7 to 10 miles Great Lakes Dragaway should be on your left hand side.

Whoa Ryan where have you been, whats new man? Anyways, hope to see you there.

Date: April 9th 2005
Track: Great Lakes Dragaway
City: Union Grove, WI
Track opens at 10am
Track fee: race free, but you still have to pay spectator fee which is $12 this is the last day to pay a spectator fee then the following week will be $25 on weekdays and $30 on weekends, check the website for any changes but rarely for opening week, but check the site for the track's local forcast and for Test and Tune nights.

Two more days, weather is going to be nice, around 65 degrees and sunny, which should warm up the track a bit to make it sticky. Hope to see you guys there, gates open at 10am........so far we have about 23 Maximas running.

We are prolly gonna be there all day, track is open from 10am to 5pm. Not sure how many cars are gonna actually be running by 2pm, but my guess is the majority of the cars running will be there by that time.

I will try to make it. I would like to give the 05 a test. The best I got there last year on the 03 was 14.6.
