Is'nt it nice to not see any G owners in Roch. MN?! That is one of the primary reasons for my purchase over a VW, BMW, Audi, or Acura. I have seen only one other Black G sedan in town. You may recognize my car with the two kids seats in back and crayon on the window. Ahh, kids, they are the best... The sad part is that my 3 year old son cries when he has to ride in the car vs. the 4Runner. I am sure he will understand some day why I always drove the car.

Cool - at least 1 other Roch owner on the forums!

I picked up my DG coupe 2 weeks ago and am lov'in it. there just so happens to be a black sedan in my neighborhood. I've yet to pass him though, prolly burst his bubble when that happens

haven't seen a white one yet, so haven't seen you

I love how people in cally say it's the middle class civic.....counted 5 beamers go by while i sat at the lights today. so glad i got the G

Mpls area here.. northwest suburb. Just picked up my new '05 Black on Black Coupe on Memorial Day. Sitting at work right now. It's supposed to be close to 80 today... and I think I'm getting "sick" and may need to "go home" early!!!

Great timing with the weather!

I actually had ordered a black/stone back in march, but changed my mind to DG/stone. I had previously owned 3 black cars in a row,and after seeing a black/stone in the showroom 2 months later wasn't impressed with the combo (didn't have any stone back in march, so i ordered blindly). nate (posted above) has black/black and it's tough.

I'm really shocked there aren't more G's around, given they are cheaper than all the 330s out there, and IMHO, look 100x better

Yeah black is tough, but IMHO I think it looks best when clean. I'm kinda a fanatic about keepin it clean so that helps.

I also have my own on-the-side Car Detailing business with all the tools (orbital buffer and more Meguiars products than the local Auto store), so that helps too.

If there's any interest I could host a detailing day sometime this summer at my place. Clean 'em up good and wax 'em and what not. I'd need some contribution for supplies (minimal.. prob $10 -$15 per vehicle), but I can give tips and hints about cleaning. If you just want to come watch sometime that's fine too. Let me know if any interest.

Definately, I'd make the drive over to learn a thing a two! Thanks, let us know what works. Weekend would be best of course.

How about June 25? We are already talking about having a G meet at the Zoom show at Morries Nissan. I'm still getting details, but this is a Nissan event at a Nissan dealership.

How's this for a schedule for June 25 meet.

1) Detail sessions at your place (pre-reg required, set limit if needed)
2) Cruise to the show
3) Cruise to dinner

I'm game! I better check with the wife first to make sure she's on board, but I doubt she'll have a problem with it.

I live up in the northwest burbs (Maple Grove area). Is Morrie's Nissan in Brooklyn Park? That'd be nice and close.

If anyone else is interested, add your name on here to the list below and I'll coordinate.

Depending on how many people are interested, we might be limited to doing a "full makeover" on one car, but we'll see what happens.

So far we've got :

1) me (jimcambell)
2) Nate

I'm in Big Lake.

Count me in. Wife's GF has a b-day party for her daugher at noon, in Rogers. I will buzz on over to MG after that, then out to Morries we go.

I created a new thread for the meet and day at jimcampbell's place. Please see here - https://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?p=585726

And now back to the conversation between the (only) 2 Rochester owners!
