Hey all,

What if we meet at the corner of route 60 (Towline Road) and Milwaukee at the McDonalds in the shopping center at the southwest corner of the intersection around 7:45 - 8:00.

To get there from Oakbrook, which is a bit of a haul (enjoy the ride), the best way is to probably take 355 to I90 east to 294 west which is really north. Continue on 294 north and it will merge with 94 north. Keep going still until you get to Townline Road Route 60 exit. Take a left at Townline so you're going west and it's about 3.5-4 miles further west to Milwaukee. Turn left on Milwaukee and you;ll see the McDonals and turn right at the next light to enter the shopping center where the McyD's is.

afterburner, do you want to meet up in oakbrook? the traffic on 294 ain't pretty around this time so i'm taking off at 5:30-6 and hopefully arriving before 7.

 

I would suggest you stay away from 355 when going from OakBrook to Libertyville. Just take 294 North to Route 60 (Townline Rd.).

 

Sorry guys, I have out of town guests coming in tomorrow and I had to help my wife clean the house. It was a perfect night too!!!! How was it?

 

Nepog and I met at the Vernon Hills McyD's around 7:30. I fed my kid, he ate, then we went up to Libertyville. There was a mass of cars of all types, classics and Imports. The bliocked road was full so we parked in their secondary lot by BankOne. It was about 8:15 when we got there and the show almost seemed to be winding down. There were packs of teens there with their Imports and muscle cars and some other cool imports. GOt to showing Nepog some of the stuff I did on my car and then we talked a bit and before we knew it, it was 9:00 and the lot was basically empty. I think this is more an early show since it was almost totally dark by 8:00. Next time I have to go there right after work so I can check out other cars and so we have more time to show our G's. There were no other G's other than Nepog's and mine.

Nice to finally have met you Nepog. Your wheels are the bling-bling! They're awesome!

met up with a friend (camaro ss). i think we went to the wrong place though. were you guys on church st? we were in some parking lot abit north of downtown. got to see the rx-8 though.

we were in the parking lot of bank one; near the dj stand....i think church street was 2 blocks away... we had 2 silver g35's.

Nice finally meeting you too! There isn't much else going on this summer unless we put together a meet at someone's house. I'm not opposed to doing it here as I can accomodate it. I would have to get clearance from the wife first though. If you guys are interested in one, I'll put up a new post. We've always had an end of the summer bash at our house with people from where my wife used to work but she quit that job and we're not having one this year. Could you imagine, 10 G's in my street all at the same time???!!! WOW! That would be cool. I have a neighbor with one so that would make 11!

Sorry we missed you there. We got there late and it was all but winding down when we arrived. It was cool to meet Nepog and talk a bit. I hope we can get together again! Check my new post about a end of summer bash I'm trying to organize. Perhaps you can make it then.
