Winter Racing--rain or shine 8 Jan 05
It is now the dreaded "tween" time between Christmas and New Year's. Everyone is either away visiting family/friends or holed up waiting for the New Year (or March if you are Wrah). The weather sucks, snow tires are depressing, and the only racing going on is on the Speed Channel.......
Or is it????
Chicago Indoor Racing eagerly awaits a group of G35 drivers to take out their seasonal frustrations on their tracks, safe from the elements. This is a top-notch facility that rents racing karts (not the weak pseudo-karts found at the county fairs and batting-cage funhouses of the world). The experience of wheel-to-wheel racing is truly a heart-pounding affair, and the g-loads felt here are greater than most of you would ever expect. Included in the race fee is the use of a full racing suit, neck brace, and quality helmet.
Anyone fiending for a HPDE or Track Day would appreciate this event. Any budding F1 drivers want to show off some skills?
Contact info for the track: www.chicagoindoorracing.com It is located in Buffalo Grove, IL, about 30 minutes from Chicago.
Track day will be Saturday, 8 January, 2005. Arrival time is at 3pm, with the newbies going through a 10-minute training session. First race will be around 3:45 or 4:00 pm. Races are $25 each and last for 20 laps. After your first or second race, you will probably want to take a break, as it is a much more athletic activity that it appears to be!!! There is a great lounge upstairs where one can watch the racing while eating/drinking or simply relax with pool or some video games. Folks can compare lap times, as you are provided with a full race breakdown for all of the competitors.
In summary, FUN FUN FUN for all. Email me: ChicagoX@gmail.com or PM for more details, reservations, etc.
LET'S GO RACING!!!

Riff----LOL!
You and me both---- at 250#, I'll have to strap a midget to each of the other drivers' cars to keep the field even.......Do you know where I can acquire a six-pack of 'em?
