new 2006 G35X

I traded in my H3 for a new G35X graphite grey.
I love the car but have a few minor problems:

1. Does the car need burn-in time? After driving it somewhat smells of something burning (not really burning but something trying to be worked in?)

2. The damn seat controls are killing my hip. I am not a fat-a$$ but the edge of the seat controls are really digging into the side of my leg/hip. Anyone else have any problems with the edge of the seat controls (ie: not much padding just above the plastic edge of the controls)? It is uncomfortable.

I thought I saw a TSB regarding this problem. I just tried searching for it but I couldnt find it right away. Spend some time searching and you should find it. I think they replace something so that it won't dig into your leg.

Congrats on the new car though, have fun!

Congrats, Duck, enjoy the new ride.
The burning you can smell is a coating on the exhaust pipes -- it'll gradually go away.

Talk to the dealer about the seat controls. He should be able to boost the padding.

as a followup:

I managed to actually bend the seat controls slightly wider (towards the center armrest). The 1-2 inches made all the difference. I still feel the controls under my leg/hip somewhat (if at all) but it no longer bothers me and is comforable for longer drives now.

So, if you bend the controls outward a bit it helps.
Hopefully this information will help someone in the future.
