I get my brand new coupe tomorrow!

My modded 2003 WRX broke after 120k miles of beating the crap out of it so it was time for me to get a new car. I narrowed down my options to a g35 coupe, a lexus is350, and an STi, and finally decided on the g35!

The lexus was very fast and had some sweet luxury features but didn't have a manual tranny and the stability control was a little too restrictive. The STi would have been faster yet I'm sure but the new body style is quite ugly and I am so sick of working on that engine that I had to try something new.

So anyway I got obsidian with wheat interior (no black on black for me ) with the premiuim package, rear steering, and the 'aero kit'. I haven't owned a real rear wheel drive car before so this should be fun.

The test drive was awesome I felt like I already knew how to drive the car, heel toe downshifting was almost identical to my WRX. I even peeled out in the demo car for about 15 or 20 feet, something I could never do in the WRX obviously, and it felt so natural. I just love how connected this car is to the driver. The moment I saw how much the shift **** was shaking with the engine I knew this was the car for me.

I'm picking it up tomorrow around noon -- I can't wait! Has there been any general consensus about how to break in the engine yet or does no one know for sure? (yes I searched there's lots of ideas out there it seems)

Oh yeah by the way awesome forum! I look forward to learning a lot here =)

Congrats and welcome! Why do you have to wait for the car can't you take it home the same day? I don't think I can sleep knowing that I have a new car waiting for me the next day. LOL!

Congrats on the car and post pictures when you get it.

Or you can break it in how I did, redlined out of dealership parking lot.

same here, and got 246 to the wheels on dynojet. Proven fact with 3 cars. Just change the oil after 1000 miles, infact i went to the canyons with only 300 miles on the car and i was on 4000 - 6500 rpms for about 40 mins.

Best break in = drive it like you stole it.

That really true? I'm in break-in stage right now (got about 800 miles on so far)
